Hi.
I want to perform the long-overdue MSW cleaning today. I have determined the required values. Here's a question. The manual states a value of 4.0-5.5mg for the injection amount. My current value is 3.2-4.0mg. Is it advisable to adjust the value at the end, or simply set it back to the same value? What would happen if I set it to approximately 4.8-5.0mg?
Best regards, Bolzer.

Mainly: Reduced tendency to jerk and minimal power loss.

Hi.
Thank you for the very quick response.
Okay, I think I'll stick with 4.0-4.2mg.

Best regards, Bolzer.

Hello everyone,
I finally cleaned the MSW and, lo and behold, it's running icon_biggrin.gif. Great instructions, it was much easier than I thought. And yet, there's still a bug in it.
"The injection amount is at 1-2mg after cleaning, and I can't get it any higher by adjusting it. Eventually, there's a point where the engine starts to jerk at idle. But the amount doesn't change. What could be the cause? What did I do wrong? In a cold state, I had around 4-4.4mg. After warming up, it's 1-1.2mg."
I hope you can help me.
Best regards, Bolzer.

If the engine runs normally, the quantity indicator must be adjustable.
Higher amounts can be achieved by shifting the MSW (Multi-Stage Washer) towards the timing belt, if I recall correctly.

Or did you perhaps loosen the clamping screws on the reference or variable coil?

Hello Ulf,

No. I haven't loosened the clamping screws on the reference or variable coil. But to achieve a higher injection quantity on the display, shouldn't you move it towards the high-pressure side?
I'm going out again and I'll try it again right away.

Here's how you can increase your available storage space.
The indicator (!) behaves in the opposite way when the engine is idling!

And once again: Whoever can read...
You were right, Ulf. About the timing belt. I managed to fix it.
Thank you for your assistance.
It's always fun when problems can be solved.

Best regards, Bolzer.
