Wanted to attach the trailer hitch to the rear lights at Seat, but it's not that easy... because the brake and light system seems to be connected... Brakes with 4V, 11....

I probably can't avoid the expensive original STG.

What does an "expensive" original STG cost?

An alternative would be a DIY solution, where you would need to know the specific voltages. (For example, the 4 1V for lights and brakes). This would also require voltages for reversing lights, fog lights, and turn signals. Then, one could potentially develop a circuit from this.

I don't want to do any kind of advertising, but I've had the best experiences with Rameder, so http://www.kupplung.de. And if you buy the 'original' cable set for your Leon there, then it will also work. Don't even try with any universal electrical kits, you'll just end up in a real mess with a car like this.

I have had good experiences with Brink/Bosal. With Volvo, for example, you also cannot install a universal cable set due to the need to monitor the bulbs. Make sure you get a set that is suitable for your vehicle. There, you'll usually also find out what you need and how it's connected.

I bought the small original Black Box (from the dealer) for my Golf for the trailer hitch. The original set cost around 65 euros and installed perfectly. The part is suitable for vehicles with and without CAN. So far, no problems at all and very satisfied.

And why don't you just buy the 'Tipp's' and get a vehicle-specific installation kit instead? Trust me, with all the newer vehicles, you could end up with more problems than you like trying to save money. Especially, as Wutz said, 65 Taler for the original VW Blackbox...

Okay, so, ich habe jetzt einfach mal nach einem 2007er 2.0er TDI Leon bei Rameder geschaut... Schau mal hier nach, vor allem die Installationsanleitungen für die spezifischen Kabelbaugruppen... Mit dem Tester und all den 'Schikanen'... Ich will dich nicht zwingen, aber meine Erfahrung als Mechaniker rät mir, bei Autos ab spätestens dem Baujahr 2000, solche 'Klemme'-Experimente zu vermeiden. Let's briefly consider what the power supply from the battery could be used for... Ah, first idea: Powering the Bums container with a 13-pin connector. Makes sense if you draw power directly from the battery. Ah, another idea: The signal for the turn signals will be amplified, so that the turn signal system in the train vehicle is not overloaded, and a simple relay replacement, like in the Golf 3, will be straightforward.
But then, the extra power supply, and possibly even the control sum for the turn signal, is supplied from it. And the rest of the lighting? It is directly taken from the power supply of the individual light units in the vehicle. And that's exactly where your problem lies: You probably have a lamp control module installed in your Leon, and that will completely fail, or even drastically, if used, especially when towing. Do you have a PDC (Parking Distance Control) on your car? If so, next problem! Using a cable set not intended for this car will drive your PDC crazy when you put it in reverse. With the 'correct' cable set, the PDC (Power Delivery Controller) is deactivated the moment you plug a cable into the terminal block.
