Hello everyone..., I've searched the forum but haven't found anything yet on this topic.
Can anyone tell me exactly how measurement block 20 (in a VW Golf IV) works?
I'm interested in seeing the torque displayed, but how does the control unit determine or calculate the torque? And how accurate is it? Or is it a different type of torque being measured? The text in this post doesn't provide enough information to determine whether this value is likely to be accurate.

Actually, it's a simple question that I can't seem to answer.

MWB 20? What kind of engine are we even talking about?

I have an ASZ engine (now an ARL). However, my general concern is whether this can be considered accurate, as with other engine codes, the measurement block might be located in a different place.

It's a bit complicated. The displayed value doesn't account for internal friction or auxiliary components of the engine, so it's usually not very informative. You can tell this because the reading is already greater than zero even when the engine is idling.

Best regards, Rainer.
