Hello.
I have a VW Passat, model AFN, manufactured in 1998, with a 1.9 TDI engine and VP 37 injection pump.
After installing a new engine control unit (ECU), I want to statically adjust the fuel pump using a measuring gauge, and then dynamically check it using VAG-Com.
No information about the AFN engine could be found in the Autodata database.
Does anyone have the exact lift values for the AFN?
(For example, for a 1Z engine: 0.70 +/- 2).
Thank you. |

You don't really need to use a dial gauge anymore.
If you roughly adjust the engine timing using the ESP pen and the camshaft alignment tool, it should at least start. Then, you can fine-tune it using VCDS (Vag-Com). Man muss es nicht brauchen, aber man muss es haben! |

Otherwise, the value is also 0.7, just like in the 1Z model. |
