My A3 takes 6-7 seconds to start when it's warm.
He starts up.
Cold zero problem.
Self-diagnosis revealed that the control unit is locked.
However, I don't believe this is the cause.
Problems with the immobilizer usually manifest differently, right?
Once the engine starts, it runs perfectly fine.
But surely, it can't start in a warm state like that.
be normal.
Does anyone have any advice?
Hello,
'Try disconnecting the coolant temperature sensor. If the engine starts immediately, it's usually due to a low cranking speed, which is compensated for by a larger fuel injection amount during startup. Replacing the battery might provide a temporary solution, but in my experience, the starter motor needs to be replaced. It's very difficult to detect the low cranking speed by simply listening; you might think it's starting normally. However, I've personally replaced about 10 starter motors due to this issue, and everyone has been satisfied with the result!'
