Hello everyone,
To my surprise, I realized that I haven't been following the developments in the WTCC over the past two months.
Currently, Seat is leading the standings, thanks to the power of its TDI engines.
The technology is really interesting.
-2.0 Block with Bosch common-rail technology, imported from a Le Mans Audi.
-The turbocharger is from a BMW 530d (so, a turbo with a swirl/vortex chamber?).
-there is no AGR and no throttle valve

.
Communicated power output: 280 horsepower at 4200 rpm, and something over 500 Nm of torque at 2000 rpm.
According to the regulations, there is only one air restrictor allowed, with a diameter of 35mm, and there is no limit on LD (likely referring to a specific component or parameter).
The only disadvantage of the engine is its extra weight of 60 kg.
@Rainer
Okay, this engine is probably only designed to last a few thousand kilometers, but it shows where your motorsport variants will be heading in the future.
Best regards, Jochen.
