Headlight Range Control Passat 3B Faulty

Hi,
Our company car, a 3B variant from 1999, had some minor issues during its recent technical inspection (TÜV).
"For example, the low beam function doesn't work at all. Does this model (with H7 headlights) still use a potentiometer for controlling the motors, or is everything already controlled by the onboard computer?"
Does anyone happen to have a circuit diagram excerpt?

Also, also take a look at the mechanics. In my case, the rod that transmits the movement to the reflector had come loose.
