Hello everyone,
It's no secret that the VW Touareg and the Porsche Cayenne are built using a modular design.
This sticker doesn't adhere well to many VW, Audi, and parts, whether from the VW Group or Porsche.
Has anyone ever tried to read out a Cayenne using VAG-Com?
Can one connect to different control units, and if so, which ones?
Best regards, Jochen. |

Reports from a few years ago indicate that the engine and automatic transmission are working fine, and they are connected in the usual place (the K-line is connected to pin 7).
Some other systems that originate from VW (e.g., the combination instrument and comfort system) are also compatible, but only if you use a PIN adapter. I can't remember right now whether it was pin 3 or 13.
However, there are also systems that originate from Porsche and use exclusively Porsche protocols (e.g., the ABS), which cannot be accessed using VAG-COM.

Hello Uwe,
So, I would just need to connect the K-line from the OBD port to the diagnostic adapter using a jumper wire.
I can update these reports throughout the year.
