Hi,

Please excuse me if I'm asking some basic questions, but I have a few questions about VAG COM.

First, is it normal that I don't see a label file for my BGW motor? The BGW is listed on the Rosstech website, but VAG COM doesn't recognize it.

Subject: Regarding this control unit:
Address 01: Engine.
Protocol: KWP2000.
Part number: 038 997 016 K
Part: R4 2.0L EDC G000SG 0092
Encoding: 0000072

Here come the next questions.

How can I initiate the forced regeneration process and perform the ash mass balance adjustment on this engine?
The instructions for forced regeneration that are already available in the forum don't work, and the material weight values (MWB) aren't really accurate either.

I hope you can help me (as a complete beginner).

Best regards.
Benni.

Hi,

Quote:
038 997 016 K
is a control unit with a software update, which explains the somewhat unusual part number.
[Edit]The "038 997 016 K" is already included in the "03-01.lbl" file, but the "038-906-016-BGW.LBL" file is missing. It will be included in one of the next updates.[/Edit]

The ash mass and filling level should be located where they are typically found in 2.0 TDI engines: MWB 67/68, see, for example, the BMM engine.

Best regards, Rainer.

REDIRECT,038-906-016-BGW.LBL,038-997-016-K ; BGW: (3B)

Okay, I found the line, but I can't find the file "038-906-016-BGW.LBL".

Laut rosstech Seite sollte sie aber im redirection packet dabei sein. Where can I find that?

Regarding the other questions, I would primarily like to have the ash mass calibration performed. The workshop didn't do that, and that's why I believe the soot calculation is incorrect.

The filter has been flushed, and the current reading is 68.2 MWB, which I estimate to be 156 grams. I would like to adjust this value.

The sulfur content was 0.8% to 1.8% (as indicated by the pulse width at MWB 68.1), after 8000 km, which doesn't seem right. (He didn't regenerate during that time.)

Does the question of "how" remain? icon_smile.gif

Is there a login code for that?
Similarly, I have a question about whether the logic code used for forced regeneration is the same as the one used in the forum.
EDIT: The login code for JAP is the same. I just performed a regeneration.

Thanks again, and sorry if I ask silly questions. I'm just trying to understand how the system works.

It's included in the current software.
