ASV Error: 'Engine Speed Sensor G80 - No Signal' (Solution)

The non-resolvable error 'Motor speed sensor no signal' on the ASV motor has nothing to do with the sensor itself.
In this specific case, a faulty needle position sensor, likely due to a short circuit, probably caused two errors: the NHG error (error code: 16705) and the engine speed sensor error. Typically, the first one could be deleted and did not reappear for some time, which resulted in a lot of wasted effort trying to fix the second error.
