A3 Clutch Squeak: Repair Guide & Troubleshooting (Solution)

Squeaking noises only occur in the upper portion of the clutch pedal travel when the clutch pedal is depressed.

Until 8L1A091087.

The clutch pedal switch is rubbing against its mounting bracket or the contact surface on the clutch pedal.

Solution.
Check the clutch pedal switch for proper function and, if necessary, apply a thin layer of polyurethane grease (part number: G052 142 A2) to the end of the actuator rod.
Note: The clutch pedal switch is designed for single use only. Repeated installation and removal of a switch will wear down the locking tab.
