tdi 1Z; Loud whistling...

Hello everyone,

For about 3 days, I've been hearing a loud whistling sound coming from the cart, and it's getting louder. My suspicion is that the problem lies with the faulty charger, as the engine as a whole appears very weak.
My question now is what kind of error message I can expect tomorrow when reading out?
This whistle gets louder and louder as the engine revs up, until you can no longer hear it. Inside, you can hear it when you're standing in front of the engine, due to the diesel fuel being injected.
I cleaned the LMM with alcohol today, but it didn't improve performance at all (which was surprising). The engine feels very sluggish overall.

Passat 35i; Engine 66kw/90 hp, so a 1Z; Tires 205/50 R15; Weight with me, fat coral, and everything else.. 1415 kg; Torque 202 nm; 175 km/h max speed, according to the documents.

so... in the third gear from 2000 to 4000 = 11.5 sec.

Is that a loud whistle or more of a noise?
Is your car rusting more now?

IMO, there seems to be an air leak between the intake manifold and the throttle body, or possibly a faulty air intake cooler. Therefore, check if there is any whistling sound coming from the thick pipes... This is best done with someone sitting in the car and revving the engine up to around 3000 RPM. You can also identify the leak by the presence of leaking oil...
