Hi,

I'm having a problem with my engine control unit (ECU) (Golf 3 TDI, year 1994, engine code 1Z).
He's showing me a low voltage reading on the dashboard, even though the battery and generator are working.
The battery shows 13.5 volts, but VAG-COM indicates 10.8 volts.
I've already replaced the control unit: now it's showing 12.2 volts.

I just want to check the power supply to the control unit.

The sockets 42 and 46 should be bypassed using auxiliary leads from V.A.G.
Can I simply bridge the connectors using test leads?

Does anyone have the exact pinout diagram for the 1Z connector?

Thank you in advance.

Regards,
Adrian.
