VW Problems: Reading Difficulties?

Hello!!! I've already looked in the forum but couldn't find anything.

I have a VW Touran (year of manufacture 2005) and a Caddy (year of manufacture 2005) for which I want to reset the service interval or check the control units for any error codes.
But when I try to troubleshoot both of them, it only finds the engine control unit every time.

I have the "VAG-COM/OBD2 Diagnostic Professional System KKL+CAN (USB)," and according to the description, it should work. However, if no control units can be found, I won't be able to find any error codes or reset the service interval.

What am I doing wrong? Does anyone have a tip? Usually, everything works fine.

Which version of VCDS?

I got everything from the diesel mechanic's shop.
I have version 805.2!!! But wait... I have the German version installed... I just read that the German version is only for professional systems or something like that. Could that be the problem?

Please check the connection and logging settings in VCDS to see if any boxes are checked or if any settings are incorrect. You might want to try restoring the default settings.

It seems the issue is resolved: According to the shop, you purchased a "Semi-professional EOBD/OBD2 diagnostic system KKL (USB)" in 2007.

The Caddy requires CAN communication.

I'm sorry. Then that was my mistake... I was actually quite sure otherwise I wouldn't have created the post .

No problem, it's all sorted out now. However, for compatibility reasons, the engine control unit (ECU) in the Caddy can still be accessed via the K-line; otherwise, this wouldn't work.
