Hi!

I came across this tip and was initially very excited, but then the disappointment set in:
ECU removed -> 54-pin connector???? No early injection functionality?
Then I wanted to increase the quantity, but it seems there are no cables with 8 or 10 pins available; I only have a cable with 3 pins.
What am I doing wrong?
I have some basic knowledge of electronics, but if I don't know which cables to use, I can't do anything.
Please clarify!

Yes, great!

But is it even possible? I just need a YES or NO answer, and that would be enough for me.

'Thank you anyway, but if you're going to create a guide like that, you shouldn't be surprised when people encounter problems while using it...'

You need to know yourself what components are installed in the engine compartment. If you have a 4-cylinder TDI engine, measure the resistance between pins 1 and 2, and 2 and 3 on the injector pump connector. If you measure approximately 60 ohms, you have an inductive feedback sensor. Otherwise, the resistances of the "10 cent tuning" likely need to be adjusted. -> YES.

You're right, I was totally blind! But the photo misled me because you have a transverse engine, so I thought the connector would be under the cover. Then I expanded my search area, and sure enough, I found it. I'll definitely try it out.
Oh yes, are you referring to the needle lift valve on the 3-cylinder engine? (At least with a longitudinal engine, it's the third one.) (I know, I'm so ignorant... icon_wink.gif)
The adjustment of the fuel injection start time is actually the more interesting topic for me!
Thank you for your understanding!
