Hello everyone.
I'm having the following problem:
'On my A6 2.5, I'm noticing a loss of power, but only above 3000 RPM.'
The VAG-COM diagnostic tool indicates that the mass airflow sensor is allowing too little air to pass through (the reading should be around 600, but it's showing as 800).
After that, I logically installed a different LLM, but it didn't work.
Please help me.
Richard.

Hello,
Sure, I will add the model year, engine code, and mileage to the translation. Please provide the text you would like me to translate from German to English. Tschüss

Hello Richard,
If the mass airflow sensor (MAF) is producing low readings, it doesn't always necessarily indicate a malfunction of the sensor itself.
Specifically, low values are also displayed when not enough air is being drawn in.
Possible reasons:
- Leaks in the intake manifold between the turbocharger and the mass airflow sensor (MAF).
- Very high blow-by from the crankcase ventilation system.
- Low boost pressure.
- adjustable valve timing
- Foreign objects in the intake system (cleaning cloths, leaves, mice, etc.).
Please perform a test drive and check the boost pressure during the process (be sure to consider the relevant conditions from the error database).
Were any repairs performed shortly before the engine failure? If so, what were they?
Best regards, Rainer.

Hello.
The intake manifold and boost pressure are okay.
It actually works relatively well even up to about 3000 RPM, although it might be drawing in too little air at that speed.
Richard.

Hello Richard,
Then you probably have an AFB.
Have you also checked the error database? There might be some information about power loss there. Perhaps your vehicle's issue is related to a known problem within certain vehicle identification number (VIN) ranges.
Please also post all the values you have so far. Tschüss

hello,
I checked, and thankfully mine isn't on the list.
Here's everything I've already done:
The mass airflow of the intake air is approximately 600.
All hoses are in good condition.
LMM is okay.
The control valves for the EGR and VGT systems are functioning correctly.
The print quality is good.
The air filter is clean, and the path from the filter to the turbocharger is clear and unobstructed.
Richard.

Hello Richard,
What was the exact boost pressure? At what RPM was it measured? In which gear and with what throttle position?
Please also check the target and actual values for the fuel injection amount. Tschüss

hello Michael,
The boost pressure was between 3100 and 3500 units in the 6th gear at full throttle.
increased from 2070 to 2130, just like the target boost pressure.
Best regards.
Richard.

Hello,
The measurement should normally be performed in third gear.
The values in the tables are designed accordingly. Tschüss

Hello,
If you want, please also record the readings for the other measurement blocks at idle and under full load (see error database). This will give us a slightly better overall picture. Tschüss

Hello Richard,
Please monitor the intake air temperature, which is what the engine control unit sees.
Exhaust and catalytic converter are okay, nothing is blocked, rattling, or bent?
Best regards, Rainer.
