Hello Uwe,

Could it be possible to provide a tool that, when a "cable" is connected, utilizes its dongle property and then also makes the CLBs readable?

I can understand that CLBs are "C", meaning crypted.

It's frustrating that honest buyers of a HEX+CAN now experience disadvantages because others are misusing the data.

Greetings.
Martin.

That's the key point. Therefore, I can understand Ross-Tech's decision to implement encryption, and I think it's a good thing.
Because when competitors start appearing like mushrooms after rain, offering products that are essentially copies ("Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V" copies) of your own, it can't be a good sign.

One of the competitors actually urged people to download the files directly from Ross-Tech, almost immediately. icon_eek.gif I found that to be quite a bit too bold.

Best regards, Rainer.

What kind of scenario could there be that would not put me at a disadvantage compared to what things were like before, considering the rise of "honest shopping" platforms?

Displaying the information can be readable, but it might not be easily copyable.

Hi Martin,

No idea, but if you have a solution, just let me know.

As it is now, you can normally modify/code the car, and if you want, you can even write things down by hand.

But only the car that is connected.

And not all possible models/control units in 5 minutes.

Best regards, Rainer.

How would it be if LCode could read the CLB?

Then copy and paste wouldn't be so easy either.
