Brake Light Switch

Hi,

"Recently, while braking, the ABS and ESP warning lights came on (but went off after a restart). The error memory indicates a problem with the brake light switch."

The brake lights are working, but what is the friendly error message trying to tell me?

Passat 3BG TDI, manufactured in 2004.

The error code is telling you that you have _two_ switches.
One for the brake light (connector) and one for the engine control unit (ECU).
