During the removal of the oil pan on a 1998 A6 2.5 TDI with 135,000 km, a damaged oil spray pipe for piston cooling was found. The part was obviously damaged, and it appeared to have damaged the piston. Has anyone else experienced this? Does it pose a potential risk to the engine? According to Audi, the oil spray pipe needs to be replaced (which requires approximately one day of work).

Hi,
