Mobil Oil: Formula S vs. 2000 X1 Comparison

Can anyone tell me something about these two motor oils? What's the difference between them, or are they comparable? I've already searched online, but unfortunately, I haven't found any information.

Since both oils have the same viscosity grade (10W-40) and only differ in their VW 505.00 approval, they are equivalent.
The Mobil 2000 X1 is likely a newer product generation with a different name.
According to the datasheet, there are no significant changes in the composition.
Conclusion:
There are definitely much better and more affordable oils available than the ones mentioned above.
10W-40 with HC synthesis... etc...

Go to mobiloil.de, then to "Product Data Sheets". Enter "10w-40" and all oils, including those with the Esso designation, will appear.

I've been using Mobil Formula S oil for a very long time and always thought it was a decent oil. I paid €3.90 per liter for Mobil 2000 X1. What oil would be better and cheaper for my car (see my profile)?

Since you already have your oil, I won't give you any tips.
"€3.90 is a cheap price, and it suggests it's a standard 10W-40 synthetic oil..."
The slightly "better" 10W-40 oils also cost between 18 and 25 euros for a 5-liter container (according to internet prices).
