Hello everyone,

I've done some reading on the topic, but I haven't found a real solution yet.
I've been working on VAG vehicles for a while, but I have limited experience with VAG-Com (other than reading error codes). Since I don't want to break anything, I'm asking for advice here beforehand.

Based on what I've read in the previous posts, it seems like the information provided is very well-informed, so I'm hoping you can help me. Unfortunately, the car in question is a gasoline-powered vehicle, not a diesel. Perhaps someone can still offer some insights.
It's a 1.4 16V engine (engine code BBZ) that runs a bit low on idle speed. This is especially noticeable when multiple consumers like headlights, air conditioning, and the rear window heater are running.

Therefore, I would like to increase the speed slightly to reduce the vibrations, at least for testing purposes. As far as I can tell, everything is technically fine with the vehicle.

I've now read that I need to change a value in the engine control unit (ECU) under "adjustments." However, I've seen different channels mentioned in several posts. Can someone tell me which channel is the correct one for my engine? And does this even work with a gasoline engine?
If so, does that also include VAG 409.1/311.2 in the shareware version? My laptop with the full version is located more than 400 km away on my desk.

Thank you in advance!

Hello.

Thank you for the information.
Then I guess I'll have to wait until I have my laptop readily available.

Do you happen to know which channel I need to change to? It's often mentioned that it's channel two, but then sometimes it's channel one. I don't want to just randomly mess with the settings.

What also confuses me is that some people write that the engine should be running while doing this. I only know how to do it with the ignition at level 2. Surely it can't be good to do that with the engine running, right?

Best regards,
