Headlight washer nozzles - Passat 3C

Hi,

I have a 2006 Passat 3C in the workshop that, when using the car wash for Xenon headlights, empties the washer fluid reservoir within 200-300km.

My question is: is there a way to disable this via software, or does it inevitably require the hose to be blocked?

I know that this is potentially illegal, but it is certainly more illegal to drive with a leaking windshield, as the reservoir is empty and the car wash system is not functioning for the windshield.

I can confirm that the 200-300 km range is possible - but only on the few days each year when the conditions are extremely salty and muddy.

Activating the SRA five times is programmed as standard.
However, you can also program the activation delay and duration.

I do this by counting the cycles and then briefly pulling the lever.
This is enough to count, but does not activate the SRA.

If there is "any" customer who does not want to count, reduce the activation duration.

Lcode reveals where this is located in the long encoding of the BordnetzSTG.

I still have the factory settings:

1300 ms red

As Martin describes, it works quite well.
With my Golf IV with xenon headlights, this luxury doesn't exist yet, so they always have to be on. Therefore, in the summer, you simply disconnect the pump, and in the winter, you put it back on. Because: If you drive 10km in the snow with xenon headlights, you'll be in the dark, as there's no heat, or not enough, to defrost the headlights.

Well, at least the spraying looks the same on my 4er as it does in your animation. However, I put 5 liters of stuff from Obi for 4.99 into it in November and I'm waiting for it to respond soon I guess I was too stingy

I'll check today if the BNSTG has any limitations.
Maybe I can drive with a 0 ms starting time in the summer :)

The SRA is practical if I still have 5 liters of summer water and frost is forecast for the next night.

There's also the option "Headlight cleaning system installed", which you might be able to disable;

I also disabled the annoying "coming home" setting for the Xenon headlights at the same time

I haven't tried that, but it might be possible to set the bit to 0 to indicate whether an SRA is installed....

It's also possible that the 3C is harder to snow, because its front is shaped differently and, for example, the angle of the "SW" disc is shallower, so the snow doesn't press down as much.
