ECU Problems: Troubleshooting & Solutions

Hello!



Today, I had the battery replaced in my Audi A8 4E in Stuttgart. Then, during the registration process, something probably went wrong.

I can only see a tiny portion of the functions on the MMI anymore. The complete climate control, including the auxiliary heater, and other functions are now missing. (Nothing happens when I press the setup button on the climate control panel).

The car lacks features like tire pressure monitoring. The cruise control is not working, etc.

I'm not quite finished yet, and there's still a lot missing.



Since I'm already back in Hanover, the damage is done.

Can I unlock or enable these features myself, gradually, using my existing VCDS software, or do I absolutely have to take it to a dealership?



And if we're already on the subject, is it possible to "activate" the daytime running lights, or does it require a separate control unit?

You could check if the individual coding entries are correct. An older diagnostic scan would be very helpful in that regard.
