Hi everyone,
Here's another tip from my attempts at pump tuning, specifically for 10c experiments without using purchased original connectors or chewed-up wiring harnesses:
The contacts in the pump connectors are similar to the narrowest standard automotive connector housings with a width of 2.8 mm, which are often used for speaker connections.
These types of connectors and terminals are therefore considered consumable items in the car audio field. They can be used to create custom single cables that can be easily plugged into the pump connector. This allows you to tap into them, interrupt them, or otherwise modify them for experiments at will, without having to open the original wiring harnesses.
Disadvantage: This solution is by no means waterproof, meaning a more permanent and proper adjustment should be implemented. Before driving in the rain, it's advisable to grease all the connections of this temporary fix to at least somewhat prevent water from getting in.
However, based on my experience, it's quite suitable for a casual trial or test run. Gruß Ulf
