Boost Pressure Values: Explained & Measured

Hi everyone! I have an AFN A4 with 251,000 km. Up to 3000 rpm, it runs smoothly (around 0.9 bar of boost). Between 3000-4000 rpm, it feels sluggish (boost pressure is 0.4-0.5 bar), and at 4100 rpm, that's the limit (full throttle). I notice it smokes quite a bit when I accelerate. Are these boost pressure values normal?
