Hello.

I converted the headlights on my Passat 3bg to xenon. I performed the coding (using a used headlight range control module) which was initially set to 00050, likely for an Audi A8, and then I recoded it to 00007 for a front-wheel drive Passat 3bg. So far, so good. I performed an actuator diagnosis, and that worked perfectly; the headlight beam went up, then down, and then received a control signal (from the instrument cluster). After that, I checked the error memory and found the usual error message "headlight not adjusted." I then tried to perform a basic alignment, but every time, block 001 is not available.

The reading from the front sensor is approximately 2.17 V, but the rear sensor has 0.57 V. I think the rear sensor is not working correctly. Does this error also have something to do with "Block 001 not found"? In other words, if one of the sensors is not working, the basic settings will not function, and Block 001 will not be displayed as available, or is something else not working correctly? icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

Thank you.

Hello,

If you hover the mouse cursor over the value for the rear sensor in VCDS, you will notice that the value is outside the specified range.

-> Repair / Adjust.

Best regards, Rainer.

So, I took the car up on the lift again today and saw that the stabilizer bar link was installed incorrectly icon_redface.gif. I then monitored the value live with VCDS while I turned the stabilizer bar link, and sure enough, the values are correct again. Now, regarding block 001 and block 002, which are the adjustment and learning parameters - the functions are working again. icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif

Regards,
Karsten.
