Hi,
I recently acquired an Audi A4 B7, model year 2005, with a 2.5 TDI V6 engine, engine code BDG.
The vehicle recently received a new VP44 pump.
He has now driven 112,000 km. Unfortunately, the pump was mechanically damaged.
Now, when idling, it runs quite unevenly. There's a brief jerk/bump coming from the right cylinder bank (in the direction of travel) when I rev it up while stationary, and the RPM drops to around 1100.
Now I suspect that a nozzle might be malfunctioning.
I stopped by my friend's workshop at the Audi dealership today, and we quickly used VCDS to read the control unit data.
"There were no error codes. The boost pressure was 1 bar at idle, although the target value according to VCDS should be 795 mbar."
The idle speed control values were approximately as follows:
-1.33 mg/H, Cylinder 3.
-0.08 mg/H, Cylinder 1.
-0.39 mg/H, cylinder 6.
0.31 mg/H, cylinder 4.
-1.10 mg/H, cylinder 5.
We didn't find the second cylinder...
The intake air temperature was 21°C, while the outside temperature was 7°C.
Air mass: 192 mg/H at idle.
He hasn't really used the program very often, and I also didn't have any essential tools or resources at the time that were truly important.
We quickly wrote a short log entry... can you already see anything from it?
Now, I wanted to buy an interface that would allow me to read the car's data using VCDS.
Which one is the best option for me?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Steffen.
