Hello everyone! First of all: I have a VW Bus T3 that is powered by a 1.9 TD engine from a Golf 3. Now, regarding my problem:

I had replaced the valve for the start of the flow dependent on load with a cap last year. Among other things, a large and a small spring were installed, which I reinstalled with the cap. At that time, the start of the flow was approximately 0.95. Everything is fine.

Now, I wanted to adjust the funding start date with a friend, as I have installed 180 bar nozzles. And what does the egg timer show: 0.54!

It can't be, otherwise the grinder wouldn't run. I wanted to move the starting time a little earlier. To do this, you turn the pump towards the motor. However, we had set it incorrectly (i.e., turned the pump away from the motor). But nevertheless: I have more power again. But normally it should be the other way around.

Anyway: Is it possible that I have to remove both springs under the lid completely? It could simply be that the measuring instrument is displaying unrealistic values. (possibly due to different initial voltage or something else)

This page is quite informative: http://faq.piranha-net.de/index.php?id=10&node=11
There is also a note to say to close the valve with the cap. The feathers are not mentioned there at all.

Check the crankshaft bolt, it looks like there's a slow engine problem icon_exclaim.gif

No, it's new, including the crankshaft/camshaft modification... icon_cool.gif If the crankshaft/camshaft or wheel comes loose, the timing will also be affected, not just the starting point. The engine also starts and runs perfectly.

I also remembered that I had the ESP outside last year. Of course, it could also be that I unintentionally misadjusted the FB using the timing belt.

When the camshaft, or crankshaft, is removed, the valve timing is also affected, and not just the timing of the fuel injection.
