Hello!
Having read several posts where people have been severely criticized for modifying their own ECUs, I'm completely confused! 1. Has anyone ever emerged as an all-knowing expert in this field? 2. Which tuner can provide you with a truly "aggressive" chip? For example, I have a Jubi G3 (AFN) engine. Originally, I had a standard Tuneline chip, which boosts the pressure to around 1.2 bar, but it already produces a significant amount of smoke at full load!
Okay, so I've adjusted the injection timing to be "earlier" and increased the nominal pressure to 1.4 bar, with a boost limit of 1.6 bar! And which tuner would do that, even if you're waving a second turbocharger in their face and assuring them that you don't care about the materials? No one, because there's no way for the tuner to guarantee the safety and reliability of the modifications!

Here's the translation:

"That's all there is to say about it; this thing accelerates like a bat out of hell. The six-cylinder models have just as little chance at a standstill as they do on the track; the only difference is that the top speed is slightly higher (meaning that beyond 200 km/h, it appears larger in the rearview mirror). icon_lol.gif"

Regarding durability, I can only say that I have had ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS since 17,000 km! However, I certainly wouldn't consider myself an "aggressive" driver!

And the statement that all eBay chips are terrible simply isn't true, because I know people who copy data from good tuners and thus reproduce them! There will certainly be a few bad apples who use eBay to test their own modified files on other people's cars, but that's definitely not the norm!
I also absolutely want to add that tuners can also mess things up! I once had a file where the lambda (LD) limit wasn't set correctly, but the nominal pressure was already high. I don't need to explain the consequences of that! I've even replaced chips in engine control units (ECUs) that were programmed by well-known tuners because the customers simply weren't satisfied.
And honestly, what good is the engine warranty from the tuner if they don't increase the power significantly with the injection, but instead crank it up so high that it produces a lot of black smoke? Yes, it might be engine-friendly, but what about the environment? And what do the authorities say about it?
I can also accelerate quickly even when the police are behind me, without turning on the headlights or windshield wipers!
Sorry, but I had to get that off my chest!
GREETINGS TO EVERYONE!!

Hello!

I still prefer tuning from a reputable company with a warranty, even if I wouldn't register the performance increase. I feel more secure that way. For example, the chip from the company Tunline has proven in countless variations and examples that increased driving pleasure can last for 200,000 kilometers. Safety is my priority. However, I would never rule out the possibility that there are also chips from companies like yours that perform their job reliably.

Good luck.

Peter.

P.S.: Example from yesterday in Austria. A doctor was caught speeding at 275 km/h in an Audi RS4 on the highway. How is that possible without a chip, since all Audis are electronically limited to 250 km/h? Is it necessary for this person to spend the rest of their life walking or taking taxis?

Well, the doctor... it's a shame, but he wouldn't be driving an expensive car if he had less money. He'd be driving a modified 1Z, and even with the legal speed limit of 130 km/h, he could easily reach 186 km/h, minus the measurement tolerance, without getting his license taken away. But of course, he has an Audi, so... icon_wink.gif

Regarding durability, I can only say that I have had ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEMS since 17,000 km!! However, I am certainly not a 'professional' driver!

Regarding durability, I'll just say this: a colleague's car body around the engine completely rusted away at 350,000 km. The engine was in perfect condition (TDI without any modifications).

If you've managed to add another zero to your price, we can talk again. 17,000 km is a completely meaningless statement when it comes to durability. Some of our field technicians drive that distance in 25 days.

Well, sorry, but I've only had the mileage at 17,000! And I have other things to do than to artificially inflate it in 25 days. Besides, this is "my" car, and "I'm" the only one who drives it. I'd like it to behave the way "I" want it to, and naturally, I know how to treat it properly! It's not a company car that gets abused by 15 different people in the cold! (I know how our sales reps drive!)
and if he only runs 100,000... he's gone, as the saying goes, the best often die young icon_wink.gif.
