Good day.
I drive a Mazda3 1.6 CDI. Mileage: 136,000 km.
According to Mazda, my DPF needs to be replaced every 120,000 km. This is an engine with a DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) and additive system from Peugeot.
While looking for alternatives, I came across the topic of "DPF cleaning/flushing" and have already done some reading about it in this forum.
The last piece of information I need is whether there's a way to read or reset the amount of ash in the software of Mazda vehicles (or the 1.6 diesel engines from Peugeot/Ford).
Mazda was unable or unwilling to provide me with any information on the matter.
Even my trusted Mazda mechanic couldn't give me a definitive answer (their words were: "We couldn't find anything like that anywhere...").
Yesterday, I got an error message in the car's memory for the first time (mine was P244F).
Ash accumulation. I now interpret the error as indicating that it is slowly becoming time to get rid of the annoying ash

.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find any further information on this topic in the forum. Most people drive VAG diesel cars here.
Thank you in advance.
Best regards, Vash_X
