Unfortunately, due to a change in the law, we are no longer allowed to explain how it works.
The late-stage damage caused by this simple manipulation (excessively high exhaust gas temperature, VTG sticking due to soot/coking on the turbocharger) can be reproducibly observed in the measurement blocks 11 (charge pressure control) and 67 (exhaust gas temperature in engines with diesel particulate filter) of the engine control unit using VCDS after a few thousand kilometers.
