hello,
I'm having a small problem with my Passat TDI 90hp, manufactured in 1996.
The issues are: loss of power, rough idling (misfiring), stalls when idling, and jerky operation.
It's not the mass airflow sensor, and I'm not sure what else it could be.

Thank you for your help.
best regards
tino

Try using the search function! There should be plenty of information about performance issues and stuttering.

Hello,

What does the transparent hose between the diesel filter and the fuel injection pump indicate? Are there air bubbles or foam inside?

Best regards, Rainer.

hello
The hose is normally filled with diesel, not foam or a diluted mixture.

best regards

Hi.

Then, take a look at the technical article on troubleshooting with VAGCOM; it lists several possible causes for power loss.

Your error description is a bit too general to provide a more specific suggestion.

'Thank you.'
Thank you for your efforts. I found the problem; it was the fuel injection pump.

I already have a new one.

See you soon.

Hi Tino.

Can the error be described in more detail (what is broken in the pump)?

For general knowledge and experience enhancement...
