Ahoy!
Here's a quick overview of the car: It's a 2010 Scirocco with a 2.0-liter turbo engine and a DSG transmission, and it has an aftermarket 'OEM' auxiliary heater installed (taken from an EOS because it's not available as an option for the Scirocco).
LäIf you leave the heating running until it turns off (approximately 30 minutes), the interior lights will not work on the subsequent drive.
I initially attributed this issue to the BCM module from Rocco, in combination with the non-original auxiliary heater. However, after a quick Google search (Golf6 gong...), I found a post on MT where many other people with Golf 6 models equipped with the factory-installed auxiliary heater also experienced the same problem?!
Okay, so I connected the box to the charger last weekend and started the auxiliary heater... after 20 minutes, the alarm started again and the ventilation turned off (even though it was charging with about 7A and still had 12.9 volts at the battery)... so it seems that the problem isn't necessarily related to the decreasing battery voltage.
In the BCM settings, there's a point for load management that can be turned on or off. If I disable it, the ventilation system works without any problems.
The question now is what else might happen during operation, or are there other possible solutions?
Best regards,
Marc
