Hello,

I wanted to briefly introduce myself...

My name is Stefan, I'm from Übersee near Lake Chiemsee, and I participate in rallies as a hobby, such as the Dresden-Breslau rally and the Baja rally in Germany.

"...since I worked at Volkswagen for almost 10 years, a Golf TD engine was naturally installed in my Suzuki Samurai. Because I've had good experiences with the SB engine (it runs underwater and in mud), I would like to install a more powerful engine..."

I'm now considering and already planning to build a custom MTDI engine, using an AFN block, an AAZ intake manifold, and an SB turbocharger. It should produce around 140 horsepower and have very early spool-up.

I'm hoping to get some good advice and a little help here.

Welcome!
Ha, a cool German engine in a Japanese car icon_lol.gif.
Did you properly machine/shape the flange to fit the gearbox, or is it a plug-and-play fit?

1Z/AFN engine with mechanical ESP is possible, but the running culture will be quite rough/noisy with it. This may or may not be a problem depending on your preferences.
I think 140 horsepower is too much; icon_confused.gif it probably smokes a lot, and holes in the pistons are almost guaranteed because tuning an M-TDI to be smoke-free is not easy.

It is recommended to transplant the entire wiring harness along with the MSTG (Main System Terminal Gateway).
