I have read out the data for the calculated boost pressure and the actual boost pressure from my ASV-TDI engine (81 kW). (no tuning).
In the curve, a noticeable overshoot (starting around 1900 rpm) of the actual boost pressure compared to the calculated value can be observed.
At approximately 2900 rpm, the actual boost pressure falls below the calculated value, and at 3900 rpm, it stabilizes at the calculated value.
The maximum calculated boost pressure is 2048 mbar at an engine speed of 3400-3700 rpm.
The maximum actual boost pressure is 2250 mbar at an engine speed of 2100 rpm.
Okay, here are my questions!
1) Isn't the highest actual boost pressure of 2250 mbar (which is about 10% more than the highest calculated value after subtracting the prevailing air pressure) quite a bit higher than the highest calculated value?
2) Isn't the engine's reaching its power band at approximately 3900 rpm a bit late, and could this indicate a problem with the VTG (Variable Turbine Geometry)?
3) What is the actual boost pressure limit that must not be exceeded, otherwise the engine will switch to the emergency program? (This has already happened twice.)
4) Where can I find the required data for my engine type (besides from Volkswagen)?
I would have liked to post the graph, but unfortunately, it's not possible.
