Passat 3C Cold Start Diagnosis LED Lights

Hi everyone,

I was just trying to drive my Passat 3C, manufactured in 09, and then I heard the comment "Nice disco!"...

I have ALL cold diagnoses activated, while a comparable Passat only has brake lights, turn signals, side markers, and parking lights activated.

If I disable the central "active cold diagnosis" (= it's no longer a diagnosis), then it stops flashing.

"But I haven't been able to see this behavior in any other car - is my control unit simply incorrectly coded?" Does a cold diagnosis even help with LEDs?

I assume that no errors are currently being detected in the lights.

... but the disco is clearly visible from inside (brake light) and from outside (rear/stand light).

What is your BNSTG?
