Differences between the 96 AFN (Golf 3) and the 98 AFN (Passat)

Here's already a thread about nozzles. Maybe it hits the same spot.

Are you aware of any differences between the two engines? Actually, they shouldn't exist at all, since they have identical engine identification codes.
Okay, one is sideways and the other is installed lengthwise.

Do you know if the same nozzles were used? What about the VP?

I would really appreciate any feedback.
