I'm having some trouble interpreting the log correctly. It was a longer trip involving highway driving, city traffic, etc. All load ranges were used, including disabling the torque limiter.
It's strange that I'm mostly getting zero readings, or that I'm only getting a "2" reading while I'm already driving.

Best regards,
Daniel.

Hello,

Have you ever moved the mouse cursor over the fields?
The tooltips actually explain the statuses.

0 means "error-free regulation," and 2 means "control during startup."

As it's not really a surprise. icon_cool.gif Please make specific requests in the future. I also find many things funny. By the way, it is unnecessary to edit CSV files before uploading them. icon_wink.gif

Best regards, Rainer.

I am familiar with VCDS and tooltips. Why am I getting a "2" (presumably a grade or error code) while driving?

Best regards,
Daniel.

No idea icon_smile.gif What's your problem?

PS: I could imagine that a regular calibration (zero-point calibration) might be the cause, as the value shifts from one cylinder to the next.

My Octavia is having problems again. I took it to the workshop (VW) because I thought the turbo was broken: it was making a loud howling noise, similar to a siren. However, the mechanic said everything seemed to be okay. Boost pressure measurement also checks out using VCDS.
Only the intake manifold was replaced because it was leaking.
Right after that, I encountered a problem with the differential pressure sensor (I replaced it myself and configured it using VCDS).
Recently, it has started to exhibit a slight hesitation or stuttering at partial load, around ~1500 RPM. It's as if it momentarily "stutters" and then immediately returns to normal power. It's not strong, but it's very annoying.
The car is only driven for long distances (60 km twice a day, mostly on the highway).
Now I suspected it might be a PDE issue, so I logged everything. The values seemed okay so far. I'm just unable to interpret the MWB 18.
That car is driving me crazy. I want to use my old vacuum cleaner again icon_biggrin.gif.

Best regards,
Daniel

I certainly can't help you with your problem, but I personally consider the MWB 18 value to be a pure indicator of the throttle cut-off.
For me, it's either 0 or 128.
Try running it with VC-Scope; you'll see the relationships and changes in the flow.

"Jerks or interruptions during certain operating conditions are known to be caused by faulty wiring harnesses for the PD (piezo injector) control. I'm now unsure whether this issue affects not only systems with Bosch injection, but also those with Conti/Siemens PPD (piezo common rail) systems."

Best regards, Rainer.

Hello,

Okay, so with my PPD, the wiring harness was already completely messed up.
Therefore, I would just replace it; there's not much you can do to measure or repair it.

I recently spent a few days on the island of Sylt with my family. Before the trip, I replaced the Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAF) with a new one from Pierburg, suspecting it was the cause of a problem. However, the problem persisted even after the replacement. Before the trip, I filled the tank completely, and the problem then disappeared. The drive of approximately 380 kilometers was also trouble-free. Then, when the tank was about half full, it started happening again, which led me to suspect that my fuel pump might be the problem.
I then refilled the tank completely at home, but the problem persists. Today, the jerking is more pronounced during changes in load – more so than before. If you maintain the engine speed at around 2000 RPM while releasing the clutch by using a blip of the throttle, you'll hardly notice it.
Given the many different possibilities, I'll initially focus on the ZMS (steering motor), engine mounts, clutch, and PD (power distribution) wiring harness.
The car is really making me poor icon_evil.gif.
I changed the diesel filter about 25,000 kilometers ago.

Best regards,
Daniel.
