Error codes 19804/P3348 (Solution)

Error code 19804: Control unit for exhaust turbocharger 1 (J724) malfunction.
Error P3348 - 005 - electrical - intermittent.

Possible causes:
- Circuit breaker tripped/faulty.
- Wiring or connector to the actuator is faulty.
- Actuator J724 is defective.

The J724 is tested via a selective actuator test within the engine control unit.
Attention: For 3.0l TDI engines (ASB/BKS/BMK/BNG) with errors in the throttle module, before taking any further actions, first resolve the errors in the throttle module, as the error J724 may be a secondary error.
