Hi,
The intake hose between the mass airflow sensor (MAF) and the turbocharger on my 1Z engine needs to be replaced.
The part number on the old part is 028 129 627 H, and the parts department can also find it in the AKTE system using that number.
The label on the delivered package will also display the number 028 129 627 H.
The intake hose looks (almost) the same as the old one, it has a bend, and it has all the connections for the mass airflow sensor (MAF), the turbocharger, the crankcase ventilation system, and the N75 valve.
Only when I tried to assemble it did I realize that the piece was slightly too short on the TL side, and it could only be attached with significant tensile force.
The number 028 129 578 is currently on hold. icon_eek.gif icon_rolleyes.gif
The parts department investigated and found that nothing else was available, even from the central warehouse in Kassel.
What now?
When I install this part, it will eventually tear, come loose from the turbo, or cause the air filter to be misaligned. I can't reduce the distance between the throttle body and the mass airflow sensor.
Ordering a spare part online is, of course, possible, but I'm afraid that's probably the only option available. icon_rolleyes.gif

There are 2 variants available for this vehicle. The same applies to the mass airflow sensor (MAF) and the air filter.

The version up to frame number: R 128401 would be ---> 028 129 627D. Experimentation leads to knowledge.

Hi,
"Part number 028 129 627D is only compatible with vehicles with an SG number up to FG-Nr 8C-R-128401. Instead of a mass airflow sensor, it uses a volume airflow sensor, and the air filter is different. The dimensions of the 028 129 627D are likely specific to this application. The connector for the N75 hose is definitely missing. This means the part is useless to me."
It concerns part number 028 129 627 H, installed in unit FG-Nr 8C-R-185xxx.

My assumption was that the hose for the "mass airflow sensor," which, according to the diagram, is located further away from the air filter, is the shorter one, and that's the one you received. The diagrams suggest that the hose for the mass airflow sensor is the longer one.

Perhaps there's a typo somewhere in the reference number - otherwise, you would have received the correct one.

I would still like to follow up on this icon_wink.gif.

Hi BM,
They inquired for a week, including Ingolstadt and the central warehouse. All parts still available under the number 028 129 578 can be found by calling 028 129 627.
The geometry of the new part, along with the LMM (likely referring to a specific component) and the KGE (another component), fits correctly, but the section for the TL (likely a cable or tube) is too short. I also haven't come up with any ideas on how to adjust it. It probably can't be reshaped, and I don't see a way to cut it and extend it with an intermediate piece. I also can't find any other suppliers besides BĂ€hBay.

Radical method: Use a pipe of the appropriate diameter between the stakes, like a drainpipe. icon_wink.gif

It can be easily and gently shaped into various forms using a hot air gun.
