Here are two observations I've made about our golf course:
(1)
- The brakes were making a rubbing noise, so I replaced the front brake pads and rotors with new VW parts.
- Now (I'll provide the age and mileage of the brakes later), the rattling sound is back.
(2)
My wife always brakes too much when she's maneuvering.
That's causing the front brakes to squeal.
Now, the question is:
Can (2) somehow wear down the glass in certain areas to the point where (1) is created?
The TÜV inspector today confirmed that the wheel bearings are functioning correctly, even after being specifically asked about them in relation to the brake noise.
I don't want to have to pay for another set of brake pads again.

Hello,
The brakes only show noticeable wear when they need to convert a significant amount of energy (i.e., a good amount of wheel speed plus braking pressure). This is unlikely to happen when the vehicle is almost stationary.
However, I would try to discourage her from that behavior, primarily to protect the steering components .
