VW T4 AHY Fuel Injector: Alternatives & Options

Hello, would a different fuel injection pump from an AJT engine or another engine fit a 1999 VW T4 with an AHY engine? The van now has 270,000 km on it, and I'm considering buying a spare one or using one from an AJT engine.

Not a very exciting idea. While it might work, it comes with significant performance drawbacks. You can increase the power of the 102 hp pump somewhat, but then the vehicle will produce a lot of soot. This will also void the vehicle's approval.

Many companies replace fuel pumps, and depending on the wear and tear, this is the most cost-effective method.

A mechanically compatible part from ACV or AJT would fit, but I wouldn't buy one in advance. After a long storage period, it can happen that, despite being filled with diesel, it develops internal rust damage, rendering it useless.
