Channels 40 and 41 also need to be set to 0. Normally, this should happen automatically, but it doesn't seem to be working in this case. You will then need to do it manually.

I haven't completely reset the service (I only tested channel 2 again, but it was already at 0), but it was last reset in November 2013 at approximately 342,000 km. However, it's beeping again now, and I don't know why, because the limits haven't been reached yet, neither in terms of time nor mileage.
By the way, this vehicle doesn't have a "long life" service interval, but rather a yearly one, with a mileage of 15,000 km.
Bye.

The problem is channels 40 and 41; I'm not sure whether the instrument cluster should reset them automatically or not.
If you set both of them to 0, I'm pretty sure everything is okay.

Even though I would also assume that the advertisement would then disappear, I still don't quite understand the message.
Pax posted the following in the channels:
- Service interval fixed at 15,000 km and 365 days (channels 42-44).
- Hazards reported since service: 4,800 and 210 days (channels 40-41).
Therefore, I also don't understand why it's now indicating that a service is due, because it should actually still have 9200 km or 155 days until the next service is required.
Greetings.
Guste.

Yes, absolutely, guste100 - that's exactly what I'm talking about.
I've had the car since 2003, and I believe I've been resetting the service interval using VCDS since around 2005. I don't recall having any similar problems before. Until about 2 years ago, the car was driven between 20,000 and 30,000 kilometers per year. In November 2013, it was the second service, and even then, the annual mileage of 15,000 kilometers per year wasn't reached. Now, I'm wondering if there might be a software bug in the instrument cluster or even in VCDS that could be responsible. Unfortunately, I rarely drive the car now, so it would be good if the service interval indicator works and reminds the current driver to get the service done at the right time.
Perhaps I'll try resetting it and then manually entering the current mileage and days (is that possible?).
Bye.

I had it automatically reset using VCDS, and then I re-entered the previous values. Now, the instrument cluster has been working normally for a few days and a few hundred kilometers, but I still don't understand the cause.
I'm curious to see if the service will display the information correctly.
Bye.
