Hello.

My 2008 2.0 TDI (BMM) has been intermittently losing power since this afternoon; it feels like it's not getting any fuel at all.
If I release the accelerator and then press it again, it goes back to normal, and it eventually returns. It usually occurs between 2500-3000 rpm, mostly in gears 3-6.
The engine control light is also on, and I've already read the error codes.

I'm going to ignore the glow plug for now, since it's been over 1000 km since it was last checked. Could that old pressure sensor be causing this problem?
Or do I have another problem? The car has occasionally made a slight jerking motion when accelerating.

After reading the error codes, I cleared them, but the error 001137 - Exhaust gas pressure sensor 1 (G450) reappeared immediately. However, I didn't drive very far after that.

I'm going to try to get the sensor tomorrow and replace it.

The differential pressure transmitter is known for being prone to errors. So, you probably made the right decision by purchasing it.

You could also check the ash content of your DPF at the same time.

Greetings.
Guste.

Hi.
I know that the sensors often break. A friend had a similar issue with his (1.9 PD TDI) car, and my mother's car (1.6 CR TDI) also had it, although both of those cars were still running, they just had the warning light on. Mine, on the other hand, sometimes jerks and hesitates.
I already have the sensor, I'll install it this afternoon and then see if everything is okay again.

According to my recent check, the ashtray contained 41 grams of ash at approximately 156,000 kilometers.

The spark plug will cause you to fail the emissions test, and then they'll probably run the old, full-throttle test again.

Most likely, the "prong" on the cable lug that connects to the candle has broken off.
(This is a common type of damage; in the BMM, BMP, and BLS engines, it's almost always spark plug number 3 that's affected, because it's the one that's easily hit when removing the oil filter.)

(Version 1)
- Reinstalling the antlers costs approximately 40 EUR, and it involves cutting and recrimping four cables in the engine wiring harness.

(Version 2)
- Stuff some copper wire into it, and nail the antlers firmly on top.

I don't know what the f*ck it was.

Hi.

The sensor was replaced and reprogrammed. The DPF was regenerated once, and the car is running again, with no more jerking icon_biggrin.gif. However, the glow plug is showing an error again, and as I said, the engine control unit is correct; the plug is faulty and has a resistance of 148 ohms, which is a bit too high. I'll probably have to replace it.

So, the glow plug has also been replaced, and now all the errors are gone, and the car is running wonderfully again. icon_biggrin.gif
