Hello,
Since the oil level in my engine is rising, I'm going to leave the car parked for now because of the potential for oil dilution.
I've already done some research by contacting various workshops and a Bosch service center, but I still have some questions.
The most likely scenario is that the seal between the PDE (positive displacement element) and the oil circuit is leaking upwards towards the head, with a high probability that the head is damaged and therefore unusable.
Since a poetry book doesn't cost the earth, we'll be starting a repair attempt soon.
The next most expensive option, although relatively unlikely, according to the Bosch service representative I spoke with, would be the tandem pump.
I had already tried unsuccessfully to obtain information from Volkswagen here.
According to VW, the tandem pump needs to be replaced. Is there no head gasket seal available for it?
According to VW, a faulty tandem pump is the most likely reason for excess oil. This contradicts the statement made by the Bosch service center.
"Bosch states: 1000 cases of high-pressure fuel pump head failure, and 1 case of tandem pump head failure."
Sure, here's the translation:
"One more question:"
Could you imagine a way to bleed the system using compressed air? For example, by clamping the supply and return lines before the tandem pump, closing one line, and applying pressure to the other.
It seems like there would have to be some kind of release somewhere, perhaps at around 10 bar.
The tandem pump should deliver this much pressure to the PDE (presumably referring to a specific device or component).
If so, where would be the best place to disconnect the wires? Maybe someone has a picture?
Volkswagen Ibiza 6L, engine code ASZ.
Thank you in advance for your support.
Best regards,
Jörg

If you're unlucky, the problem only occurs under certain conditions or temperatures... or only when the power drives are in motion (running engine).

Hi,

It could also be from me .
I was just hoping for different experiences. The experiences that others have had are the cheapest.
Right now, I can only write and gather information because my car is still 50km away. I've left it parked for the time being.
Best regards,
Jörg
