I have a question about my T4, ACV model, manufactured in 2001, with approximately 300,000 km on the odometer.

If it's not used for a long time, or if it's only driven for very short distances,
and then properly warmed up.
Does it initially emit blue smoke from the exhaust?
Quite clear. This is no longer the case with regular, normal use.
Once I've driven it for about 10 km and it's properly warmed up, there's nothing noticeable anymore, even when the engine is running and I'm not accelerating.

The coolant doesn't disappear at all, and the oil consumption is also very low, practically negligible.

The engine starts perfectly and seems to be functioning normally.

Yes, perhaps. For example, if oil drips from the engine into the exhaust system when the engine is off... or if oil accumulates in the exhaust system and is then burned as the temperature rises.

So, the engine always starts immediately and runs smoothly, like clockwork. It doesn't matter if it's hot or cold, summer or winter, or if it's been sitting for 2 months.

I can only perform the exhaust gas smell test in a few days, as I'm currently working on the auxiliary heater and need to replace a damaged coolant hose.

I'm not trying to fight against smoking; it doesn't bother me.
I just want to be aware of all possible options and assess them so that I can take action if there is a risk of consequential damages.
So, there's a hole in the piston, probably due to a faulty injector or something like that.

I'm not the kind of person who would take apart an old engine unnecessarily.
