Hi,

"What is the correct torque for tightening the nuts on the tilt lever shaft at the BKD engine? Autodata doesn't have this information, and given the shallow thread depth of the studs in the nuts, I don't want to take any risks."

Do you mean the locknuts for the adjustment screws of the PD elements?

30 Nm.

Hi, no, the M8 hex nuts for the rocker arm shaft are for a 16V engine.

Normally, there would be screws here, so he must have gotten a replacement head at some point. I've installed those before too.

The screws should be tightened to 20 Nm plus 90 degrees.

Yes, that could be the case - they are actually studs.

I've now tightened it to 20 Nm + just under 90° (one piece into the plastic deformation range), and it seems to be holding. icon_smile.gif
