Hello fellow enthusiasts,
"Yesterday evening, while driving on the highway, I first experienced a brief hesitation, and then, after about 3-4 kilometers, a strong jolting and reduced power. I then drove off the highway to a parking area. While stationary, the car was shaking violently, which I had never seen before. I turned it off and started reading the error codes with my laptop. It turned out there were only misfires detected on cylinder 1."

Otherwise, there were no other issues. So far, it's always run great and now has 277,000 km. Could it be that a fuel injector is faulty? I left it there and will pick it up today.

It's a 1.9 BLS engine with *** tuning, originally producing 96 kW.

Could it be that a PD is defective?

It's quite possible. You can let it run for a short time in neutral and carefully open the oil filler cap slightly.

If there is excessive pressure building up in the crankcase, it would indicate engine damage.

Unfortunately, it seems like the exhaust gases are being forced into the crankcase. When I open the cover, there's a lot of pressure escaping! What could this be? Is the engine dead? Or is it still repairable?

I suspect a hole in the piston, or a crack due to wear icon_cry.gif.

What is that?
Do you think it's worth repairing it, or would it be better to get a different engine? It only had a new turbo and a new DPF installed 10,000 kilometers ago.

It's only possible to determine if a repair is worthwhile after the extent of the damage has been assessed. This requires inspecting the combustion chamber, which would involve removing the cylinder head. In all the cases I'm familiar with, there were signs of wear on the cylinder wall, which means the engine needs to be removed.

But... before you start disassembling anything, you should, for example, use a compression test or a simple pressure test to make sure that there is actually a problem.

Okay, I'm ready. Please provide the German text you want me to translate.

Hello everyone,
I would have loved to tell you what happened, but I sold it last night for €3000. And now I need something new.
