Hello, can anyone help me? I have a GOLF 5 1.4 BAD and I need to replace the crankshaft seal. Can I install the magnetic ring without special tools, and if so, how?

As far as I can tell, this won't work without special tools.
You need the "T10134" and the corresponding instructions for it. Everything else was a matter of chance.
I would try to borrow the tool from . LG, Onkel BM

Hello Georg,
In this YouTube video, it is explained (Elring) how it is mounted.
Without that, it's not possible. What else might be needed, the measuring tool for the crankshaft belt pulley (to fix the OT point)?
What is not explained here:
the "Red" pin which is inserted just before assembly is for gasoline engines , the "black" is for diesel engines !

It's getting stranger. If I disconnect the sensor, the engine runs perfectly normally. I borrowed the original VW tools and installed the ring according to the VW instructions. Since then, I've been getting intermittent error messages for the camshaft and crankshaft sensor, out of range. Motor was on OT and disconnected, it's like we say in Austria, "to be a fool" Wir sind eine Werkstatt in Langenrohr bei Tulln und kämpfen täglich mit Fahrzeugproblemen. Also, the correct marking spike should also be used with the special tool?
The fact that it operates with a defined input, likely stems from the fact that the NW (noise) signal is used as a substitute. LG, Onkel BM
