Hello,
I'd like to ask about the engine's reliability and durability. What are its weaknesses?
I heard that it's not supposed to last long and that it only causes problems?
What I can't imagine!
Then how about chip tuning? It's supposed to bring the power up to around 190 horsepower with 440 Nm of torque. Can the engine handle that, just like other TDI engines?
What other tips are there?
I'm getting my TDI on May 2nd, 2002, as a used car from Volkswagen in Wolfsburg.
Here's some information:
Golf IV TDI Highline, 110 kW, 3-door, 6-speed manual, approximately 15,000 km, first registration 03/01, Blackmagic pearl effect paint, leather sports seats in beige, winter package with seat heating, Radio NaviPlus system, Santa Monica 7x17 inch alloy wheels, Xenon headlights, sport suspension, car phone including Nokia 6210 mobile phone, Climatronic air conditioning, CD changer, side airbags and head airbags, rear parking sensors (PDC), technology package including remote central locking with alarm, rain sensor, comfort package, floor mats with foot protection.
As an ex-Vento VR6 driver, I probably deserve

.
Best regards,
andre
